Order Page: How We Can Help

Recruiters skim. Most give a CV a few seconds before deciding. So with Order Page, we put the things that matter where they’ll be seen first. The National Careers Service explains the standard CV sections well, and we build on that.
Ready when you are. Browse our CV writing services or send us a message and we’ll talk you through Order Page in plain English.
Before You Order: What to Have Ready
A few minutes of prep now saves a lot of back and forth later. Here’s what helps us most.
Your current CV
Send whatever you have, even if it’s old or messy. It gives us your dates, job titles and the bones of your story. No CV at all? That’s fine too. A list of jobs and roughly when you did them works.
Two or three job adverts
This is the big one. Adverts tell us which skills and keywords employers in your field care about. We use them to shape your CV so it speaks their language.
Your wins, in numbers
Did you cut costs, grow sales, train new staff or hit a target? Jot it down, with numbers where you can. “Managed a team” is fine. “Managed a team of 8 and cut overtime by a third” is much better.
Anything you’d rather leave out
Career gaps, short jobs, a role that didn’t work out. Tell us. There’s usually a tidy, honest way to handle it, and we’d rather know up front.
How you want to come across
Some people want a calm, formal tone. Others want a bit more personality. Let us know which feels like you.
A quick word on cover letters
Plenty of roles still ask for one. If yours does, mention it when you order. A cover letter that matches your CV makes the whole application feel joined up, and it’s quicker to write both together.
And LinkedIn
Recruiters check LinkedIn more often than you’d think. If your profile tells a different story from your CV, it raises questions. Worth lining the two up.
That’s it. Once we have the basics, we can get going. If anything on this Order Page page isn’t clear, ask us. We’d much rather answer a quick question than have you guess.
